Just like MJ with Peter Parker, Zendaya feels safe with Tom Holland.
The couple, who met while filming the 2017 superhero flick Spider-Man: Homecoming, have shared the screen several times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, an act that doesn’t bother Zendaya in the slightest.
“It feels pretty normal. That’s how we met,” she told Vanity Fair of acting opposite her real-life boyfriend. “Literally, at a chemistry read.”
If anything, working with her real-life love, whom she went public with in 2021 after years of speculation, is “second nature” to Zendaya.
“You feel extra safe with the person you’re acting beside,” the 28-year-old explained. “I love working with him.”
When it comes to her favorite traits about the British actor, Zendaya can list many.
“He’s so talented, and so passionate about what he does,” she shared about the 28-year-old. “He always gives things one thousand percent, even if he’s absolutely worn down. I really appreciate that about him.”
And it seems the couple will get the chance to share the screen again as Holland has confirmed that a Spider-Man 4 is currently in the works as a follow-up to 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
"We have a creative and a pitch and a draft, which is excellent — it needs work, but the writers are doing a great job," Holland said on the Oct. 17 episode of the Rich Roll Podcast. "I read it three weeks ago. And it really lit a fire in me."
"Zendaya and I sat down and read it together," he continued. "And we, at times, were like, bouncing around the living room. Like, 'This is a real movie worthy of the fans' respect.'"
Shortly after this teaser, Holland confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is a go.
“It’s happening,” Holland shared of the highly anticipated sequel on the Oct. 22 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Everything’s good to go. We’re nearly there. Super exciting.”
